Lisa Cross is a photographer, facilitator and lecturer.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Communications (Photography and Digital Imaging) she honed her craft over a decade shooting food, still life and lifestyle for advertising clients including QVB, Westfields, Aldi Supermarkets and Oporto.
Lisa has an excellent eye for detail, colour and composition and is drawn to graphic shapes, rich textures and beautiful light. Her style is sophisticated, clean and versatile.
This coupled with her industry and creative experience allows her to create anything from a soft, scrumptious food shot to a bold, graphic product shot, an awe inspiring landscape image, a beautiful interior shot or an intimate portrait.
In 2013 Lisa spent a year travelling the world with her camera and discovered a passion for culture and community. She now uses her skills and passion for photography to help others and balances her commercial work with facilitating community photography projects and teaching tertiary-level photography.
Lisa’s community photography projects are based on the principles of Participatory Photography or PhotoVoice and aim to empower people through creativity.
She has worked with Marrickville and Penrith Councils as well as a number of community organisations, conceptualising and facilitating projects for participants of all ages and backgrounds.
Lisa is now putting her diverse skills to work on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
